They are actually a leather blend like material. Really soft but looks like leather. And they look solid right here but they have more of a worn look to them. I like this material and look because you don't have to worry about scrathes. The protection plan is also for 5 years and includes puntures and rips. Some leather gets these leather scrathes in them...hard to explain but it looks trashy.
